THAT BOUTIQUE Y – GIN COMPANY – FRESH RAIN GIN
FRESH RAIN GIN
OLFACTOR-Y GIN RANGE
We’ve long wanted to create gin that smells of petrichor (rain landing on dried soil). Using Geosmin is very popular in the world of niche/artisanal perfumery, as you can create really weird, earthy scents that smell like digging in soil – we used a beetroot distillation which is an ideal natural source for Geosmin, and has that thick, dirty sweet smell you want for rain.
Ripe juniper berries are weighed down by fresh rain droplets. To complete the sensory experience, every label in the Olfactor-y Gin range has a special something. You can’t quite tell from here but, when the label catches the light, those rain drops glisten.
Nose: Earthy scent, grassy, leafy highlights.
